Northstead and Wreyfield Drive invite you to a Family Quiz evening at Northstead church on Sat May 11th starting at 6pm. Come along as a team of about 5 people (it may be an advantage to have a younger member on the team) or come along and make up a team on the night. Adults £2, children £1, includes light refreshments.
At Wreyfield Drive we have been looking to improve our facilities, and make the building more suitable for the many church and community-based activities that use the building on a regular basis. We have urgent need of a disabled toilet facility, as well as the need to update all our toilets. We also intend to extend the front of the building to make better use of the space we have. We have planning permission for this work, and hope to get the development underway in the next few months. The total scheme is estimated at £288,000. We have raised well over £100,000 locally, and have been promised a grant from the circuit. We are hopeful that we will be able to secure grants from District and Connexion, and are working on this at present. We would like to give individuals in the Circuit the opportunity to contribute to this project and help make our God-inspired vision a reality. Therefore, we are making the afternoon on July 7th a gift afternoon. I will be at Wreyfield that afternoon, when the Boys Brigade will be holding their summer fair, from 2pm to 4pm, and am happy to receive any gifts for Wreyfield Drive Development Fund then, though if this is not convenient – any time will do!
