Shirley and Malcolm Peart’s grand-daughter, Lucy, for whom our Church has been praying for several months, has made special efforts herself to raise funds for this cause.
So far, she and her friends have made £150 by selling purple buns at school – among other things.
“GO PURPLE” is a national fund raising effort launched in March, 2013. The grand-parents feel that they want to do their bit!
The coffee morning will feature a competition to find the person best dressed in purple or with purple accessories. This will be judged by a local celebrity (in Christian terms) and the winner will receive sustained applause and a small prize.
Cakes and buns will be gratefully accepted for sale, particularly if they are decorated in the right colour. Offers of help with the organisation of the event will also be very much appreciated.
The event will be opened at 10.15am with music and an amusing story (or maybe two!).
PLEASE COME IF YOU CAN.
