‘The York and Hull District Synod will meet as guests of our Circuit at Caedmon School, Whitby on Saturday 27th April from 9.15a.m. until 4.00p.m.. As part of her preparation for ordination in July, our own Deacon, Helen Webster, will be one of the speakers at the Testimony Service which will open formal proceedings at 10.00a.m.
This is an historic Synod as it is the first time that a District Youth Synod will run alongside the Representative Synod, and there will be some joint working too. Both agendas are very full and can be viewed on the District website along with the papers for Synod which make interesting reading. The Youth Synod is open to anyone between the ages of 14 and 23.

Please make time to read the papers (available here) and discuss any points of concern with a circuit representative. This is your church business we will be discussing and your reps want to represent your views. You will find the information interesting too!

Our Circuit representatives to Synod are
Liz Aconley, Rita Alden, Susan Brown, Keith Higgs, Paul Johnson, Derek Orwin, Diane Robinson, Jane Thompson, and Nadine Williams.

There is still time to volunteer to help on the day or to provide cakes or Fairtrade biscuits for the refreshments. Heartfelt thanks go to those who have already ‘signed -up’.’
