Message from our Superintendent

Immanuel, ‘God is with us’ the message of the incarnation is that God is indeed with us, born as one of us. In the words of Charles Wesley, ‘Our God contracted to a span, incomprehensibly made man.’ As someone else put it, ‘God with skin on.’

John, a close friend of Jesus, in his gospel (1:18) reminds us that ‘No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.’

The message of Easter is that ‘God is still with us’.  This Christmas I hope and pray that each and every one of us knows the incarnate and living presence of Jesus, in our homes, in our churches, in our families and in our communities.

Immanuel, God is with us, Jesus lives. Hallelujah! Every blessing this Christmas and for 2018

Graham
