Church Anniversary: Queen Street

Sunday 13th March 2016 is Queen Street Methodist Central Hall’s Church Anniversary and we especially invite you to come and share with us if you are able.

Our guest preacher for the day is Rev Peter Shilling.  Many of you will remember Peter who worked in this circuit several years ago.

Our morning worship is at 10.30 am and will be our parade service with the Boys and Girls Brigade present and our evening worship is at 6.30 pm and is more traditional.

Peter was an inspiring preacher when he was with us and I have no reason to believe that he will be anything less now.  Do come if you can and make this a Church Anniversary that we can celebrate together.

Service of thanksgiving for Margaret Woodcock

On Saturday 13th February, Margaret Woodcock, organist for over 80 years in both Methodist chapels in Burton Fleming was called home to be with her Lord.  The service of thanksgiving is to be held on Wednesday 2nd March at 12.00 noon at the Methodist Chapel to which all are invited.

Her forthright attitude hid a deep faith, nurtured by daily study and deep discussion, unconditional hospitality and a love of Jesus that she encouraged all to know for themselves. She has left a deep and lasting space in many lives that will be impossible to fill.  We give thanks to God for her.
