There will be two services both of which will start at 3.00 pm followed by tea and cakes to finish at 5.00 pm.
At Fylingthorpe there will be All Age Worship and at Robin Hood’s Bay there will be a Taizéservice led by Rev Chris Kirkman and Mrs Anne Kirkman.
There will be an easy access coach that will pick up at Filey – Westborough – Burniston, details to follow.
Please note the following changes to services being held at Burniston Methodist Church:
Sunday 17th April there will now be one joint service at 10.00 am, which will include Holy Communion, instead of services at 9.30 am and 11.00 am.
Sunday 1st May the service will be at 10.00 am and not at 10.30 am as shown on the Plan.
At Emmanuel St John’s LEP on Sunday 10th April at 6.30 pm the Filey Fishermen’s Choir will be leading worship and there will be refreshments after the service
Come and join us for Saturday 9th April at Northstead Methodist Church, Givendale Road in Scarborough. Bacon butties and puddings, coffee served from 11.00 am, with lunches from 11.30 am – 12.30 pm. There will also be a cakes and Fairtrade stalls
Scalby Methodist Church are holding a coffee morning on Saturday 2nd April from 10.00 am to 11.30 am in support of the Scalby Walk Charity – St Catherine’s Hospice. There will be stallsfor books, home baking and Fairtrade
We are holding a First Aid Course given by St John’s Ambulance on Friday 20th May from 10.00 am until 1.30 pm (includes a short break). They will be covering the following very important aspects of First Aid. We will be making a small charge to go towards the cost of the course. Sunday 13th March 2016 is Queen Street Methodist Central Hall’s Church Anniversary and we especially invite you to come and share with us if you are able.
Our guest preacher for the day is Rev Peter Shilling. Many of you will remember Peter who worked in this circuit several years ago.
Our morning worship is at 10.30 am and will be our parade service with the Boys and Girls Brigade present and our evening worship is at 6.30 pm and is more traditional.
Peter was an inspiring preacher when he was with us and I have no reason to believe that he will be anything less now. Do come if you can and make this a Church Anniversary that we can celebrate together.
Come and join us for a Spud and Pud lunch on Saturday 12th March, coffee will be served from 10.30 am and lunches from 11.30 am -12.45 pm. Homemade cakes, preserves and a Fairtrade stall – all welcome.
