Coffee Morning in support of FirstLight Trust - a charity for Veterans of the UK Armed Forces and Emergency Services. Stalls – books, cakes, Fairtrade.

Northstead are holding a lunch on Saturday 15th October; fresh salmon or ham sandwiches and choice of puddings, coffee served from 11:00 am, lunches from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm. Cake and Fairtrade stalls.
Emmanuel St Johns Church, Falsgrave are holding a Harvest Praise Service on Sunday 9th October at 6:30 pm with the Celebration Singers. Service led by the ESJ Worship Group. Ugandan refreshments served after the service.
You are invited to a Family Quiz Night + Pie + Peas Supper on Saturday 8th October at6:30pm at Wreyfield Drive Church. The costs for Adults £3-00 and Children £1-50. Proceeds to the Rainbow Centre.
The choir will be in the Whitby and Scarborough area from 9th – 16th October.
The Whitby concert is on Monday 10th October at Eskdale School, 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm involving some local primary schools.
The main Christian concert in Scarborough is on Friday 14th October at Queen St Methodist Church, 7:00 pm, admission free, crafts for sale, donations welcomed.
The only other concert in Scarborough, this time, is at the Stephen Joseph Theatre on Wednesday 12th October, tickets from the box office. And the choir will be busking outside Marks and Spencer’s on Saturday morning 15th October.

The Pearl of Africa Children’s Choir was founded in 1983 by Molly and Paul Wasswa, two teachers who established the Molly and Paul Christian Schools and The Molly and Paul Child Care Foundation which seeks to improve the health, education and welfare of people suffering through disease, war and poverty in Uganda. The two Organisations run schools in Kampala and Masaka Districts of Uganda. The Choir members are selected from talented children who attend the seven schools of Molly and Paul school. They present a fast moving, exhilarating, programme of music and dance as they tour the country, hosted by generous families, visiting local schools, sharing skills and experiences and raising much needed funds.
A Christian Aid coffee morning is being held on Wednesday 12th October from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon at the Palms Court Hotel, St Nicholas Cliff, Scarborough.
