The building will be open to everyone for a look round and for light refreshments on Saturday 28th September 10.00am till 4.00pm. (Soup and sandwich lunch served between 12noon and 1.30pm)

The Circuit service of celebration at 6.30 pm on Sunday 29th September will be an opportunity to say thank you to God, and to all those who have worked hard to make this possible.

District Mission Enabler

District Mission Enabler  – York and Hull District (3 Year Fixed Term Role)

The York and Hull District of the Methodist Church are looking to appoint a District Mission Enabler who will work as part of a team to facilitate, encourage and nurture new and existing mission opportunities across the District. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in identifying and sharing good practice in mission and discipleship and will work closely with Circuits and local churches in developing mission priorities.

A professional qualification in a relevant field (e.g. mission development, community work, consultancy, training) or substantial equivalent experience is essential, as is the ability to think strategically and creatively.

This is a fixed term appointment for three years from the date of appointment. The hours of work are 17.5 hours per week, worked flexibly by arrangement.The salary for the role is £34,000 (pro rata).

The District welcomes applications from both lay and ordained people. If the appointee is an ordained person within the Methodist Church, standard ministerial terms and conditions will apply
