Westborough Methodist Church: Fascinating Celebration

On Wednesday 27th September 2017 from 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm come and join us for an evening’s fascinating celebration at Westborough Methodist Church, Westborough, Falsgrave Road, Scarborough, YO11 1TS (just up from the Railway Station but across the road).

During the evening there will be a talk and videos etc. about the places our volunteers have been to (far and near – e.g. some in the UK as well as Sierra Leone, India, Cambodia, Uganda to name but a few, and what they (myself included) have done so far in 2017 e.g. building schools, classrooms, community centres, bamboo houses, teaching, leading medical skills workshops and seminars, and working with the people of the slums plus much more. (Incidentally in November I’m going to help build a floating school for some of the boat people).

Light refreshments will be served during the evening and the Mission Direct team – the company with whom I have now volunteered for the past 5 years – will be on hand to answer any questions you might have.

This is a great opportunity to celebrate what has been achieved and enjoy a relaxed evening with fellow supporters/people who would be interested in learning more regardless of whether or not you’d like to be part of our adventures, do a sponsored event to support the volunteers or simply just enjoy the evening and the good company and refreshments!

Please feel free to bring parents, children, neighbours, friends – only please let me know in advance how many will be attending in your group so we can have an idea of how much cake to get!!!.

To reserve your place simply reply to this email or if you prefer give David a call on 01582 720056 or Katherine on 01723 381562 (please leave a message if I’m not available to take your call). Or email holmgrenclark@aol.com by 25th September 2017.  (Poster attached).
