Revd Tania Brosnan’s Announcement on Sunday 3rd February

It is never easy to break bad news is it?

So it is with great sadness that I have to tell you that I shall be leaving the North Yorkshire Coast Circuit and my ministry here in Scarborough and Cayton after Easter.

The distance between our home and Kirkbymoorside and my ministry here in Scarborough and Cayton has proved to be unmanageable and become an obstacle in my ministry. I want however to stress that in no way does my departure reflect on you, my congregations and colleagues.

I have been humbled by the offers of hospitality and friendship I have received since I began here in September.

I would like to thank all of you for the affirmation and encouragement you have given me. I have received so much from you in my time amongst you.

We will continue to journey together until Easter when I will return to a part-time post at York hospital. I am not leaving Methodist ministry and will be open to where God leads me.

So I pray God’s blessing on each one of us this day and in the days to come.
