The internationally acclaimed ‘Pearl of Africa Children’s Choir’ will be touring the UK again this autumn to raise much needed funds for their schools and homes back in Uganda. Children being cared for by the Molly and Paul Child Care Foundation will wow audiences with their mix of traditional African music, dance and drumming.
Visit of the Pearl of Africa Children’s Choir to Scarborough and Whitby
Friday 28th September: Westborough Methodist Church at 7p.m.
Thursday 4th October: Scarborough College at 7p.m.
The choir arrives on Thursday 27th September and will spend the next day in St. Augustine’s school to work with young people there and with the choirs of St George’s and St. Peters primary schools.
On the evening of Friday 28th September the choir will perform, alongside local young people, in Westborough Methodist Church at 7p.m. You are warmly invited to attend. The concert is free, but those who attend will have the opportunity to make a contribution to support the five schools in Uganda from which the choir is drawn.
If you cannot make this concert, the choir is busking in Whitby on the morning of Saturday 29th and have concerts at Eskdale (Oct 2nd 7p.m.) and Caedmon (Oct 3rd 7p.m.) schools.
On the evening before they leave, the choir will again be performing in Scarborough at 7p.m. in Scarborough College.
It is hoped that you will take advantage of this wonderful opportunity and that you may feel that you wish to support this Charity whose aim is to provide stability, an education and a future for children who would otherwise be living in poverty as street children.
